Summer Coffee Morning

A display of assistive technology and accessible household devices on a wooden table. Items include a large-button calculator, easy-use landline phones, a smartwatch, a yellow handheld magnifier, talking kitchen scales, electronic magnifiers, a bright desk lamp, a torch, a compact fan, a black air fryer, and an induction hob. These tools are designed to aid people with visual impairments or other accessibility needs.

People living with sight loss and their families will be able to see what support is available when local sight loss charity Sight Airedale holds its annual Coffee Morning on Saturday 12 July, at 31 Scott Street, Keighley.  The event will run from 10 am to 1 pm. Admission is by donation, which includes refreshments.

Products on show will include the latest magnifiers and reading machines from Optelec (a supplier of low vision aids) and products from the charity’s daily living shop designed to help around the home, such as big button phones, talking clocks and watches, kitchen aids and lighting. New for this year include a talking Air Fryer, a talking Induction Hob and a Talking Mobile phone.  

Visitors will be able to learn about the services the charity offers whilst enjoying refreshments, a raffle including prizes donated by Keighley Sainsburys and the Keighley Playhouse, a Used Visually Impaired Equipment Stall, and a New 2 U stall.
