How to join sight airedale

If you or someone you know would benefit from our services, then you or they can become a friend of sight airedale. Becoming a friend of sight airedale is free and gives you access to our services, you will also receive our free newsletter three times a year.

We support people living in Keighley (BD13, BD15, BD21, BD22 and Haworth), Silsden (BD20), Bingley (BD16), Ilkley (LS29), Skipton and The Yorkshire Dales (BD23), Cross Hills (BD20), Settle (BD24) and Barnoldswick (BB18).

Vision requirements

You access our services you must be, either:-

  • Registered Blind/Severely Sight Impaired or Partially Sighted/Sight Impaired

or

  • Not registered but have a long term eye condition that impairs their visual function and cannot be improved by the use of corrective lenses to a level that would normally be acceptable for reading N12 print. We can provide you with a simple form for a health professional such as an Optician or Ophthalmologist or GP (some GPs may charge).

How to make a referral

We accept self referrals or referrals from professionals, if you work for Bradford Council we can accept referrals via Galaxkey
