Text Files

A text file is a file that can be read on any computer. By producing a document as a text file a visually impaired person can load the document onto their computer or other reading device and either have it read out to them or converted into Braille if they have a Braille display.

By producing a HTML version of a document we can retain formatting options and allow easy navigation of the various sections within a document.

Documents can be produced in the following formats:-

  • Plain Text
  • HTML
  • Microsoft Word
  • PDF

Wednesday 10 and 17 July from 10am to 3.30pm, 31 Scott Street, Keighley

Our living with sight loss courses gives people the opportunity to meet and chat with other people living with sight loss in a relaxed, informal environment. Our volunteer speakers, who are people living with sight loss, tell their stories and answer questions.

To mark our 110th Anniversary a new tactile map was unveiled at a special event held on Tuesday 9 May 2017.
