Daily Living ShopDaily Living Shop

Located at our Sight Centre, 31 Scott Street, Keighley houses over 150 items designed to make life living with sight impairment easier. Including talking clocks and watches, kitchen utensils and big button telephones. Equipment is not held in stock and will be ordered and supplied as demanded. Demonstration equipment is not available to take away for loan purposes

Visits to the shop are by appointment only. This is NOT a drop in service. Initial enquries through the Helpline or call in to our Registered Office, 1 Albert Street, Keighley (please check opening times). Although thirty minute appointments are undertaken at the Sight Centre, visitors are asked to report to the Registered Office where a team member will be waiting. There are NO reception facilites at the Sight Centre

Magnifier Assessment ServiceDaily Living Shop

Our Basic Magnifier Assessment Service will help you choose the right magnifier for you. Your assessment will give you the opportunity to try out hand magnifiers, illuminated magnifiers and electronic magnifiers and receive information on how best to use your magnifier, the importance of lighting and your local NHS Low Vision Clinic

Magnifier assessments are by appointment only. This is NOT a drop in service. Please telephone the Helpline to make an appointment for up to one hour with two team members. Please bring with you, your own reading material, any existing magnifier and current spectacles for the assessment. 

As this service receives no NHS funding a charge at cost is made for any magnifier supplied. Unfortunately we are unable to offer an outreach service. Demonstration equipment is not available to take away for loan purposes

Located in the centre of Keighley close to the Bus Station and Airedale Shopping Centre. sight airedale has five independent living flats. These properties are managed by a local Letting Agent. Initial enquiries should be made through the Helpline.
