Morecambe Bay Challenge

59 walkers crossed the sands of Morecambe Bay on Saturday 21st of July 2007 guided by the Queen's Guide Cedric Robinson MBE. The event was organised by the Appeals Sub-Committee as part of the Association's Centenary Go Digital Appeal to raise £6,000 to convert the Associations 1000 Audio book tape library to CD. The Committee would like to thank walkers, volunteers, sponsors, Mr Robinson and The St John Ambulance Lonsdale Unit for their support. The event raised £3,519.36.

Our living with sight loss courses gives people the opportunity to meet and chat with other people living with sight loss in a relaxed, informal environment. Our volunteer speakers, who are people living with sight loss, tell their stories and answer questions.

To mark our 110th Anniversary a new tactile map was unveiled at a special event held on Tuesday 9 May 2017.
