It costs £286 per day to provide the 14 different services offered to 484 local sight impaired people. For example, it costs £2.83 per person per year to send out three issues of our seefact magazine in large print format free post to Friends of sight airedale.

How the 100+ Club Works

  • subscriptions are accepted from October for eligibility to be included in the Christmas Draw
  • it costs £10 a year to join the 100+ Club
  • subscription is £5 from March to October then £10 for the year
  • membership is open to Friends of sight airedale, relatives and friends
  • your unique membership number, which you retain whilst a member entitles you to be entered into the monthly prize draw for a cash prize - winners will be notified
  • of your £10 membership fee £7 is used towards funding our services and £3 goes in prize money
  • you also have the chance to win a prize in our Christmas Draw
  • more members mean larger Christmas Draw prizes

Our living with sight loss courses gives people the opportunity to meet and chat with other people living with sight loss in a relaxed, informal environment. Our volunteer speakers, who are people living with sight loss, tell their stories and answer questions.

To mark our 110th Anniversary a new tactile map was unveiled at a special event held on Tuesday 9 May 2017.
