How to use our Shop

When is the Shop open.

Our Shop runs on an appointment basis only this enables us to ensure that a member of the team is available to deal with your enquiry. It also means you get one-to-one attention and have plenty of time to browse and try different products. To make an appointment please telephone our Helpline or visit our Office (please check our opening times).

Who can purchase items from the Shop?

We can only supply items directly to people who being registered sight impaired due to the goods are eligible for relief from VAT. However, anyone can make a purchase via our online catalogue from amazon.co.uk but will have to pay VAT at the applicable rate.

We can only supply items within the United Kingdom. 

How can I pay for goods?

For visitors to our Shop in Keighley, payment is either by cheque made payable to "sight airedale" or cash. Unfortunately we are currently not able to accept Credit/Debit cards.

Are all items held in stock?

To keep overheads to a minimum, we only hold a very small amount on stock of selected items. Most items will need to be ordered and we will let you know when your item arrives in stock.

I want to buy a magnifier, do you sell them?

Yes, there are many different strengths and types of magnifier, so what may suit one person may not suit another. To ensure that the magnifier meets your needs we carry out a thorough assessment. To make an appointment for a magnifier assessment, please contact the Helpline or visit our Office (please check our opening times).

Please note that a magnifier assessment is a seperate service from the Daily Living Shop Service, so please specify that you need a magnifier assessment.
