1907 to 2007, 110 years of supporting local sight impaired people

sight airedale is arguably the oldest local independent charity having been established in Keighley in May 1907.

To commemorate this auspicious occasion sight airedale has secured funding to create a tactile map of the services delivered from our first floor Sight Centre based at 31 Scott Street, Keighley, BD21 2JH (behind Keighley Public Library) which will be unveiled on Tuesday 9 May 2017, the anniversary date. The map will be situated in the ground floor Lena Anderton Meeting Room at 31 Scott Street, Keighley.

sight airedale would like to thank the following funders for their support.

  • Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire, Community Charity Champion Award
  • Santander Foundation Discovery Grant
  • Sovereign Health Care Charitable Trust
  • Craven Trust
